Signs
I've taught my son a few signs, so he can communicate with me. He is using please and thank you sometimes now. :) Polite before he can talk.

She didn't note that his "father" sign looks very much like the ol' "L" on the forehead. Not quite sure how to interpret that....

"Polite" just fits well with Alex's personality. He has such a gentle spirit.
